The Utility Works MakerSpace is a non-profit run co-working space that encourages learning, creativity and collaboration by providing the community with low-cost access to an array of equipment, office space and a wide variety of technology and business classes.

The mission of our MakerSpace is to strengthen the Delaware County area’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by inspiring a growth mindset and assisting early-stage makers, creators, entrepreneurs and startup companies with tools and resources they need to launch and grow in this region. We will inspire creative enterprises, new products and services by providing the educational resources with the equipment and tools to nurture creative thought, hone skills and master craftsmanship in a cooperative studio environment.

Application Process for Studio Rental


  • Tour

    Having a unique space with varied options, we recommend that you come in for a tour to begin the process. Stop in for our Open House Saturdays 12-3pm!

  • Application

    Once you’ve done the tour and selected your space, we’ll send an online application link to you. An application fee of $25 is required.

  • Agreement

    After we receive your application, we will review it and if all looks good, we’ll send your online Membership Agreement. Read it over, click a few boxes, and you’re on your way.

  • Welcome Home!

    Once you pick a start date, we’ll meet up to get you a key fob. Then we'll ask for your bio and a few pictures to add to our Member Directory, and welcome you into our community!

SoundLab Podcast & Recording Studio

Record your podcast or mix a new beat in a modern and comfortable recording space, where you get professional equipment and sound quality at affordable prices.  The SoundLab Recording Studio is a fully equipped Virtual (Computerized) Studio deployed on a 27" IMAC platform and 16 channel Presonus Quantum Interface with state-of-the-art Focal Monitors in the control room and a Flexible Studio Recording Space capable of supporting 8 individualized Headphone Mixes. Studio-grade Large diaphragm microphones for Vocals and Specialized Drum/Percussion microphones and other studio quality microphones from SHURE and RODE. The SoundLab currently supports APPLE LOGIC PRO and Presonus Studio ONE as the primary recording platforms.
